Programming
In the past some schools have requested a day long field trip; in 2007 they did four topics: scooped in the pond, took a hike to the top of the hill, went on a scavenger hunt, and learned how to use a GPS. All groups will rotate through each topic. Is your school interested in coming for a daylong event? Yes No

Animal Senses - Learn how animals use their senses to help them survive in the wild.
Animal Tracking - Come learn how to identify tracks and find the story that goes along with them. Make a cast of a track to take home and go on a quest to look for some tracks that have been made.
Bird Basics - What makes a bird a bird? Learn the major characteristics of our fellow birds. Students will get hands on opportunity to explore the variety and function of feathers found on a bird, see how the physical attributes which are unique to this animal.
Food Web - In this program we will explore what a food chain and food web is. This will be done through interactive games (great add-on to our Aquatic Adventure program.)
Native American History - Lets learn more about the heritage of the place where we live. The students will learn what skills were necessary to survive in this area with the changing seasons.
Need-a-Friend - Team building activities are stimulating problem-solving tasks designed to help group members develop their capacity to work effectively together. The activities chosen for your group will be varied, starting out from simple to more advance as the class works together. An important part of team building exercises is participants' reflection and discussion about the activity, how they approached the situation, and possible points of learning. (Minimum class size of 10)
Orienteering - Why do we need a map and compass? To help us find where were going and where weve come from. The students will learn the parts of the compass, how to find the direction their pointing in, and how to dial in a direction. Go over the key on a map and learn how to read it. If time permits they will go through a small orienteering course.
