Snowshoe/Winter Hike      $6 per person
The program includes a brief look at the history and techniques of the sport. Then we will travel the trails looking for signs of animal activity.  Commonly seen tracks include: fox, white‑tailed deer, turkey, squirrel, crow, feral cat, and more.  Best of all, we will have a fine time playing in the Adirondack outdoors!  Come enjoy the property during one of the most beautiful and serene times of the year.  The fee includes a snowshoe rental.  Larger groups should schedule a separate time.  Click here to preregister or call 518-644-9767.

Can’t make it to one of our guided snowshoe hikes or just want to explore on your own?  Snowshoes are available to rent just about anytime, conditions permitting. We'll give you a map and send you on your way. Please call to be sure of availability.

Animal Tracking on Snowshoes  $6

Build an Owl Box (woodworking)  $20
Build a nest box that will help attract these beneficial night birds to your yard. Our woodworking kits are pre-cut and ready to assemble. The finished box measures 14"x14"x24". It is designed to attract barred, screech, and saw-whet owls! Preregistration is required. Space is limited so please call 644-9767

Interested in learning more about the high tech scavenger hunt known as geocaching? At Up Yonda Farm you can learn how to use a GPS and go exploring for hidden treasure. If you already have a GPS, but aren't sure how to use it, bring it with you and we will help you figure it out. If you don't have one, GPS units can also be rented for use at Up Yonda. Weather permitting; add to the fun by snowshoeing around the property as you search! A limited number of GPS units are available on a first come first served basis.
